Ralph Frasier

Ralph K. Frasier joined the 300-lawyer firm of Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP in July 1998, where he focused on matters relating to financial institutions, corporate governance and service to local, regional and national nonprofit and for-profit entities. Prior to joining Porter Wright, Ralph worked for more than 30 years as Senior Counsel, Executive Officer and Director of diversified financial institutions, including commercial and consumer banking, investments, mortgage lending, trusts and estates and insurance-all under a holding company umbrella. He also served more than ten years in various legal capacities with Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based Wachovia Corporation. He now serves as Of Counsel to Frasier & Alston, PA, a Durham, North Carolina law firm established by his son, Ralph K. Frasier, Jr., and his daughter, K?ren Frasier Alston.

Ralph has served as director, trustee and other leadership capacities on the boards of the Winston-Salem Transit Authority (Chairman), Columbus Urban League, Columbus Foundation, Directions For Youth, Inroads Columbus, Inc., Appalachian State University, North Carolina Central University, North Carolina Family Services Inc., Ohio Board of Regents (Chairman), Ohio Health Corporation, The National Judicial College, and Community Mutual Insurance Company. He joined the OCLC Board of Trustees in 1999.

Ralph was the 2002 Recipient of the Ritter Award, the highest award given to an individual by the Ohio State Bar Foundation "for outstanding contributions to the administration of justice." In 2003, he was named Distinguished Lifetime Fellow of the Foundation. He is also a Fellow of The Columbus Bar Foundation, a Life Member of NAACP and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and a Brawley Fellow of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Ralph holds a BS in Commerce and a JD from North Carolina Central University.
